Answer real customer questions
Explain your services, who they are for and where you provide them. A clear page about a real service is more useful than a long paragraph repeating business keywords. Include practical information customers would ask for before contacting you.
Give each page its own purpose
Use an About page for your background, a service page for what you offer and a Contact page for reaching you. Avoid creating lots of near-identical pages with only the town name changed. Link related pages so visitors can keep exploring.
Write specific titles and descriptions
A title such as 'Furniture repairs in Durban | Your Business' is useful when it describes the actual page. The description should briefly explain the service and next step. Portaly supplies defaults; edit them when your own wording would be clearer.
Describe meaningful images
Use image descriptions to explain what a photograph shows. A photo of a completed project can say what the project was, rather than repeating the business name. Good image descriptions also help people using assistive technology.
Connect search tools
Use Google Search Console to check discovery, indexing and search queries. Portaly exposes your sitemap and supports verification codes in the SEO menu. Submit the sitemap and inspect important pages after publishing.
Know what the tools can and cannot do
A sitemap and structured data help search engines understand your site, but they do not guarantee indexing or rankings. Keep improving real content, make sure important pages are published and link to your website from relevant business profiles.
